MATCH REPORT

Tottenham reached the Final at Stamford Bridge after difficult ties in earlier rounds against Aston Villa, avenging their fourth round defeat the previous year, and Preston in the semi-final at Hillsborough. Now they were up against the Wolves, still a Second Division side and in their first Final for twenty years.

In spite of an increase in the admission price to keep down the numbers, the crowd was still large enough to spill on to the cinder track around the pitch.

Tottenham, with such great players as Seed, Grimsdell the captain, and the left-wing pair Bliss and Dimmock, were the artists, but the match produced only three memorable incidents: a cloudburst that reduced the pitch to a quagmire; Dimmock's winning goal; and Brooks, just before the finish, having his close-range shot brilliantly blocked by Tottenham centre-half Walters.

Dimmock had tried unsuccessfully for most of the match to dribble his way through the clinging mud and the Wolves defence. Ten minutes after half-time he finally broke through to score. Taking a long crossfield pass from Seed, he appeared to have lost the ball to Woodward, but then quickly regained possession before sending a shot flying into the far corner of the net

Programme has been folded but these are now flat leaving a tiny hole in the centre of the fold. the spine has a 1 inch split at the top and there is a very feint tea stain on the cover ,staples have slight rusting but are ok ..all internal pages are in great condition with no writing

The programme is still in very good condition
